Vince & Randi

Vince and Randi were married last Saturday.¬† The wedding was held at Castle Gardens¬†in Kuna, it was beautiful.¬† It was the rainiest day ever, and¬†everyone had to be moved indoors.¬† It was still¬†gorgeous and I still cried, I’m a sap at weddings.¬† I didn’t get many pictures, just a few of the girls in their custom cute matching dresses.

Congratulations Vince and Randi!  We love you and are so happy for you!

The Jam Pad

I took a drive to E-town last Friday to go watch my dad and brother rock out.¬† They have a band, Hallie Asher, and they practice in and old, old, OLD, hotel downtown.¬† The hotel has been abandoned for many years and it is very scary up there!¬† The electricity doesn’t work so it’s pitch black except for the room that they practice in.¬†

The creepy stairway…

As eerie as it is up there, it is the coolest place.¬† It’s like going back 100 years, because the hotel hasn’t been touched for that long.¬† It’s¬†practically falling apart-here is a part of the ceiling.¬†

Two musicians at work!¬† My brother on the left, and dad on the right.¬†¬† The two guys in my family are extremely musically talented.¬† Obviously the “musical gene” didn’t get passed to me…what a rip off.¬† ūüôā

I took a LOT of pictures of dad and RIchy, but I don’t think they would appreciate me posting pictures of them making funny faces.¬† I guess they suffer from a phenomenon called “weird music mouth”.¬† ūüėȬ†

I’m a Genius

I have recovered the pictures that I thought were gone forever.¬† For those of you that suffered a great deal from the loss of these pictures, I apologize.¬† You can finish mourning now, and you can hug me later.¬† Let this be a lesson to all of us…never give up hope.

Here are just a few:

It has begun…

I read Twilight last year at around this time.¬† I read it in a day and a half.¬† That’s what happens when I read a good book, I can’t put it down until it is finished.¬† I neglect everything in order to finish it as soon as possible.¬† I get obsessive.¬† I’ll tell myself just one more chapter and then I’ll go fold that laundry.¬† Not.¬† I’ll read SIX more chapters and then I’ll make myself a sandwich.¬† And then read some more.

I wanted so badly to read the rest of the books in the Twilight series, but I knew that all I would do is sit around and read and ignore my family and house.¬† So I put it off…until now.¬†

I started reading New Moon on Friday.¬† I’m done now.¬† I finished it around midnight on Saturday.¬† See how I am?¬† Obsessive!¬† And it is nowhere near a small book, it’s about 550 pages.¬†¬† My eyes were very out of focus by the time I was done.¬†

If you haven’t read Twilight yet, go do it.¬† Like, now.¬† The movie comes out in November and I can’t wait!

First Day of Preschool

Little Bethany isn’t quite so little anymore!¬† A group of us started a preschool co-op and today was the very first day.¬† What?!¬† My baby Bethany is in preschool?!¬† Crazy. I was a little worried about taking her¬†to someone’s house and just dropping her off, but she actually did really well.¬† She latched onto my leg when we first got there and said, “Mommy, stay here”.¬† But then I just put¬†her up on the couch next to her friend Megan and told her that she was going to¬†have a lot of fun and that she won’t need me.¬†¬†When I¬†picked her up she¬†was just as happy as can be.¬† She told me all about it and she had a great time!¬†¬†When Neil¬†got home from work he asked her if she went to preschool today, and she said, “yeah!! I didn’t cry!”.¬† What a big¬†girl.

Julia’s Party

We held Julie Bean’s first birthday party on Saturday.¬† We all had a great time and she got lots of great presents!

I had to use my crappy camera for the party, for fear that I might lose more pictures on the good one.¬† Look at the AWESOME picture quality on this bowl of jellybeans…

Opening presents!¬† Bethany was very nice and “helped” Julia open her presents.

As for the cake, she ate all of the frosting off and then started throwing the cake part on the floor.

And I guess it is sort of a tradition now for mean Uncle Vince to smash babies’ faces into their cakes on their first birthday.¬† ūüôā¬†

Happy Birthday baby Bean!!

12 Month Well-Baby

I took Julia to her pediatrician today for her 12 month checkup.  Her stats are as follows:

Weight:  17.63 (an increase of 1.57 pounds over the past 4 months) Percentile=4.97

Height:  29.25 inches (2.25 inch increase) Percentile=56.98

So basically I have¬†a tall, skinny girl on my hands here.¬† The doctor says she is “underweight”, so I am supposed to start giving her those Pediasure bars every day.¬† I don’t know what it is with Julia and not being able to gain any weight…sure wish I had that problem!

Also, Julia has never pulled herself up to standing…and she is NOWHERE near walking.¬† The doctor says that her legs are very “jiggly” (I DO have THAT problem!), meaning her muscles aren’t very strong.¬† So she has ordered some physical therapy to strengthen her legs.¬† Not that it’s a big deal that she isn’t walking or whatever, but if she doesn’t get those legs developed then it will be a very, very long time before she learns to stand up and walk.¬† So, she has to start seeing a PT to help her beef up those legs.

Other than that, she is healthy and happy!¬† The pediatrician is very impressed with her vocabulary…she was like, “whoa, that’s advanced! She’s a smarty.”¬† So I at least know that she is developing normally mentally, and also her fine motor skills are right on target.¬† She also got three shots-that she hated of course, but then she got a sucker and made a giant sticky mess out of it and she was happy.

Happy Birthday Julia!

My baby girl turned one year old today.  I can hardly believe it.  She has just been the best little girl anyone could ask for.  She is always so happy and never complains, and she is just about the cutest thing EVER.  She has just grown up so much, I miss having her as a baby but it is also very rewarding to watch her grow up.

Happy birthday sweet baby girl!!  We love you!!

So we had a great Labor day weekend up in a cabin in Donnelly.¬† We 4-wheeled all over the place, ate lots of good food, played horseshoes, made some wax bombs in the fire pit, and tons of other fun stuff.¬† I took SO many awesome pictures.¬† That’s where the bummer comes in.¬† I went to upload the pictures into the computer and they all somehow got corrupted, aka…GONE…FOREVER.¬† GAME-OVER.¬† I apologize to all of those that I promised pictures to, because they will never be seen again.

Someone call the WAAmbulance so it can come and take me away.  I am extremely disappointed. muehl_ima
